PARALYMPICS

We were fortunate to get tickets to attend the Paralympics and get to watch Ellie Simmonds in action.
The day was truly amazing and even though it went on late into the evening our children did not want to leave & even asking to return the following day!

We witnessed 7, yes 7 World Records whilst at the aquatics centre.

ELLIE SIMMONDS became the Princess of the Pool the 4ft 1inch double Gold medallist from Walsall could be worth millions due to her success in London. The swimming ace, who added a Silver and Bronze at London 2012 became the ‘darling of the fans’

Paralympic Stadium

Simmonds, 17, also won two Gold’s in Beijing four years ago, and currently earns around £300,000 a year from her sponsors such as Adidas, Sainsbury’s and BMW, this will surely escalate as her management team capitalise on her fame, although Ellie is not thinking about financial rewards.

Ellie said: “I am so happy it’s all finished but I’m still emotional because it has been such a great 10 days.
“The World Championships is the next big thing and then Rio will roll around fast.”

All in all we had a wonderful day & enjoyed the high jump as much as the swimming. The stadium was amazing and was at full capacity. We had previously been on a tour of the Olympic stadium, but the atmosphere on the day was the most amazing thing ever!

Nothing Is Prettier than a Vase of Flowers
Flowers can really help to brighten up a room. I don’t know of anyone who can walk by a vase of flowers and not smile!
After all, isn’t seeing a flower bursting up from the ground after a long winter enough for us rejoice that winter is finally over & life is rejuvenated?

Well we have found this amazing vase that makes us feel that excitement, too. This foldable vase is a truly amazing gift. The vase can hold both water and flowers and then when finished, it does exactly what its name says – it folds up. It so practical? We can add your branding to this vase so that every time it is used it markets your companyWe think it's a perfect promotional gift, what do you think?

Please note brand use is for reference only!

Water Efficiency Tip - Synthetic Grass

Now here's an interesting thought at a time when
we've had flood, during draught.
SYNTHETIC GRASS:

  • Environmentally friendly
  • Green all year round
  • Doesn’t get as hot as paving or concrete and is not slippery around the pool
  • Minimal maintenance and superior all weather performance
  • No prickles or lawn beetles
  • Dries quickly, no soggy patches
  • No fertiliser or chemicals in our ground water
  • Safe for children
  • No mowing or weeding
  • Non-allergic
  • Covered by a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty

  • Is it a smart option in today’s water-saving environment?

Mixing Biz with Relies & Friends In China, Hong Kong & Oz.

Whirlwind trip - Mixing business & pleasure!

Just back from a whirlwind tour of Hong Kong, China & Australia and its been nothing short of brilliant. An incredible, surreal journey that saw us visiting new factories in deepest China one moment (Sourced a really good artificial grass supplier if anyone is interested?)
to swimming with dolphins the next..

Quite surreal, but up there as one of the best trips ever.

Even found time to annoy a few relatives in the burbs of Melbourne and get on the grog with my 'old mucker' Jerry in Perth. Marvellous!

A special thank to Flight Centre UK  www.flightcentre.co.uk and also Adventure Tours http://www.adventuretours.com.au/ who both helped make our trip so wonderful with their excellent service!

Best part: Asking to 'put another shrimp on the barbie'
(and reminding everyone who won the ashes )

Worst Part:  Darwin humidity ( and Loop the Loop over Jim Jim falls )

Most grateful for: Good staff back in the office!

Fat Trap - Help our Water Companies

Fat Traps - Save our sinks & sewer

We all know that pouring fats and oils down our sinks is wrong, but how many of us actually still do it?

We all believe the old wives tale that as long as we run hot water down the sink, it will be fine!
However this is simply NOT true!

Fats and oils harden in the pipes, causing blockages (which could cost you a lot of money) but also they are ruining our sewers.

The water companies are trying to educate us to stop doing this, and we have worked with them to create this great product!

This great pack includes a sink strainer which stops any food debris from going down your sink, a scraper and the main product, which is 'The Fat Trap' which can sit next to your sink, and is lined with a strong bag, so that you can pour any waste fats/oils into the fat trap, as soon as you have finished with them (& even when they are still warm)

Once these items harden, and the trap is full, you can seal the box and dispose of it in your bin!
This could not only end up saving you hundreds of pounds in having to have your plumber sort your sink out, but you are also doing your bit for our environment.

    Christmas Meal

    Christmas Party

We had our Christmas Meal out this weekend (slightly late I know). We visited Weirmarsh Restaurant in Devon, which although we had never been to had heard great reviews about.

This is a unique dining experience, as the setting is actually inside the farmhouse. This my sound strange, but you don't walk in to Grandad reading the paper or watching TV!
You arrive and can sit around the lovely log burner, where drinks and canapes are served, then onto your table for your actual meal.http://www.weirmarshfarmrestaurant.co.uk/

As you can see from the image, the place setting are all unique, which doesn't feel like Christmas at Grandma's and actually adds to the experience.
Weirmarsh believe in fresh, delicious locally sourced ingredients cooked with care and flair.By pre-ordering from their extensive menu the chef creates seasonal dishes on the night using fresh local produce to provide you with the ideal meal of your choice.

Both the meal & the setting were beautiful and the staff accommodated us in every way they could. The food was delicious & plenty of it, with the chance for a second dessert! We had a really lovely evening and would recommend this restaurant to you all.
